’56 For Life
Thomas Higdon and His Latest ’56 Beauty The 56 Chevy has always been my favorite tri-five. My uncle bought a new 210 and a year later, our family car was a Turquoise/White 56 210. I learned to drive with this car. After graduating from high school in 1964, I bought a used, but well maintained Sherwood Green/Glacier White 56 Bel Air. With its 265 V8 and Power Glide transmission, it was a joy to drive. In 1979, I rescued a four door 56 Harbor/Nassau Blue Bel Air from a street in Louisville. This car was restored as an original. It
