I have never figured out why somebody would let a classic car, especially a Corvette, sit out in a field and rot away. Sure I understand how a car can sit unattended in a garage or shed for years. But out in the elements? I don’t know how that can happen. Fortunately, a father-son combo who runs a shop in Florida saw it during their travels through Alabama. Eventually, they were able to talk the owner into selling it to them, and then David Semel stepped up to fund the build, using his ideas on how he wanted to proceed
