A Tribute to Car Show Judges

Idle Thoughts: The Pitfalls of Judged Shows Eckler’s held the 26th Winter Nationals on March 18th and will host the 31st Corvette Reunion on May 18th. Eckler’s car shows are judged events. The 1,000-point judging system, developed in the late 1970s, has evolved into an internationally recognized method of judging classic cars. Originally introduced to judge 1955–57 Chevys at early club events, the system has grown to include all 194–72 Passenger cars (including Chevelle, Nova, Corvair, El Camino full size, etc.), trucks and Corvettes and all Camaros and Firebirds from 1967–2014.
