A Tribute To My (Our) Friend Jim
It’s with sorrow in my heart that I write this tribute to my close friend, James “Jim” Knight. Sadly, Jim passed away suddenly on April 25, 2012. He leaves his wife, Elly, and daughters, Angelika and Jamie.
I was lucky enough to know Jim since college. We reconnected in Orlando in the early 80s. He had a special artistic talent when it came to layout and design. But I believe Jim’s greatest talent came to life when he was behind the lens of his camera. When Jim shot a feature car, you could be sure of three things; first, the finished photos would be the very best (Jim could make a daily driver look like a 1,000 point trailer queen), second, Jim would be smiling during the entire shoot, and last of all, after every one of the 1,000’s of feature cars Jim shot, the owners were sure to be his friend from that point on!
