Another One Bites the Dust

Metrocenter was a hugely successful shopping mall when it first opened in Phoenix, Arizona in 1973. Not only did it attract shoppers from across the state but it soon became a haven for cruisers on the weekends. But eventually cruising went away and the mall lost its shoppers and stores. So when the mall management recently announced the mall would permanently close, the cruisers came out for two last night’s of cruises to relive those memories. So of course we had to be there! Hard to think how unique this mall was, but for 1973 it was ground breaking and
