As a young man I worked at the local Esso station in Richfield, NC. Part of my duties included washing Jim Frick’s 1956 210 two-door hardtop Chevrolet. For two years I washed that car every Saturday, rain or shine!

In January of 1958, Jim traded the car in for a new one at Confederate Chevrolet in Albemarle, NC. I could not pass up the opportunity. I traded in my 1947 Chevrolet coupe and paid an additional $1200 for the ‘56. That was perhaps the best deal that I have ever made. The car has been my everyday driver for over fifty years. There are countless memories and hundreds of stories attached to this classic.
