Low Mileage Race Car
This story begins about 37-years ago when I first saw this car. This ‘57 was a super-stock national champion drag racing car and had been sitting for several years with no motor or transmission. At that time it only had 1,500 actual miles, all ¼ mile at a time! I wanted to buy it but a guy named Max Anderson beat me to it. He found a matching numbers engine and transmission and put it back together so it could be driven on the street. I told Max if he ever wanted to sell the car I would be interested in buying it. Over the next 28-years, every time I saw him I would remind him I still wanted to buy the car.
