LS1: Power on a Budget
by Kevin Borkowski
You probably won’t be surprised to know that many of us on the Eckler’s team are car guys just like you. Even though more and more restorations are becoming resto-mods, in this issue we have paid homage to one of the most popular GM car lines ever produced – the Chevy Camaro.
GM used many different power plants in the Camaro. They’ve ranged from a 230 cubic-inch six cylinder to 302, 350 and 396’s for the SS options. The power plant of choice is one of the most desirable for any resto-mod – the LS based engine. This versatile power plant can be configured to anyone’s preferences.
