Alan Hughes’ Has His ’71 Nova “Just the Way He Likes It” Alan Hughes of Orlando, FL, is the owner of this 1971 Nova Super Sport. The car was built during the first week of May, 1971, at the Willow Run Assembly center near Ypsilanti, MI. Willow Run began production in 1959, starting with the Corvair. The Chevy II (Nova) was produced there from 1962–79, and the GM X-bodies (Citation, etc.) from 1980–85. Production ended at Willow Run in 1992.
