Many of you are familiar with “Juicy” and “Cherry”; Gary and Flo Garman’s ’55 Chevy Sedans. They shared the diary of their Watermelon Truck with us for this issue. Let’s see how it all came about…

Aug. 2010: Gary and I spent time talking with a friend who owned a Chevy truck we’d admired for years at a show. On our drive home, Gary said “Let’s build a truck!” At that moment, I should have said “NO!” But instead I said, “Only if it’s a ’55.”
