Phil Barrows’s Sunset Orange ’57 Chevy 150
Phil’s 57 150 was purchased in ’78 from a neighbor who was retiring it from local drag strip use. Before selling the car to Phil, barely out of Highschool, the seller wisely replaced the full race 427 with a mild mannered 396. Phil confesses that it may have been a wise move. The car became Phil’s primary transportation. In ’82, still in the original Colonial Cream, the car was partially buried in a mud slide and weeks later broadsided by a ‘63 Buick Lesabre.
