How Fritz Werner Brought His 1957 Two-Door Hardtop Back to Life I bought my 1957 two-door hardtop sports coupe in 1992, having found it through a friend of a friend in Missoula, MT. I paid $3,850 for two parts cars: a ‘57 two-door and a ‘57 four-door. At some point in its history, the car was banged up and left outside to rust in a field with no engine, running gear, front seat, steering wheel, radio or clock. This car was going to be my pride and joy, and that was how I treated it.   My first task was
