Many people seem to forget that most of the cars we enjoy working on today are probably forty years old or older. Tolerances that wouldn’t be considered acceptable today were the rule of thumb when our “hobby cars” were built. The use of computers and robotics that are commonplace today would have been right up there with Buck Rogers’ spaceship many years ago.
