Two Door Sedan: Door Weatherstrip Installations

This month’s “You Can Do It” tech article will explain the removal of the old door weatherstrip and the reinstallation of new weatherstrip for two-door sedans. Although Chevrolet doors will vary from model to model, the basic procedure is the same. The removal, installation, and photos in this article were done on a ’62 sedan. Today’s reproduction weatherstrip is a very good reproduction. The original style weatherstrip had wire-type clips; today’s reproductions have plastic push-in style clips which work very well.
