Un Bel Airable!
This show-stopping ’62 Bel Air scored 996 points at Chevy Classics’ Winter National
My fascination with the 1962 Chevrolet began when I was in high school. My parents bought a brand new 1962 Chevy Impala SS 327 4-speed after prodding from my brother and I. I worked several jobs after school so I could eventually buy the car from them. When I had enough money saved in 1963, that car became mine. I then started making improvements so it would be competitive for drag racing.
When I graduated and went to work at a Chevy dealer, I really got into making the Impala a serious drag car. Then life happened– I got married and had a family. My racing stopped, but not my love for the ’62 Impala Sport Coupe “Bubble Top”. The car and I parted ways.
