A Story of Cars, Courage and Comrades In 1961, at age 17, Vic Bary wanted an American car with a V8. The Corvette was the dream car for most young men in their late teens at that time, and it was also priced well out of their reach. Despite the unattainability of this dream, it stayed with Vic throughout his life, until he was able to attain it.
