What a way to beat the rust!

Like a lot of folks, I discovered POR-15 about 12 years or so ago. I’d heard about it through some fellow car buds, and of course, like anything new, I was a little apprehensive about actually trying it. Truth is, it’s super easy to use, and is extremely effective at not only stopping rust in its tracks, but it actually strengthens the thinning, weaker, rusted areas.
Using this stuff for the first time can result in a lot of stained hands and arms. A word to the novice user: Wear protective gloves (dish washing gloves are fine) and long sleeves! It’s inevitable that you’re going to get some POR-15 on your hands, and trust me, it is almost impossible to scrub off. It will come off over time, but that can be a week or longer. It doesn’t burn, sting or cause any kind of damage to your skin, it just stains, big time!
